Does God speak to his people today, through prophetic words, pictures and dreams? Does he still inspire his followers to take certain actions, as he did in Biblical times? This book answers some of those questions and is also provided as a follow-on, or sequel, to a previous publication, which gives the start of the story, now completed in this Volume II of “The Desert will Rejoice.” This amazing story is about a prophecy, given in 1987, that three God-inspired projects would be set up in the inner city of Birmingham. They were to be called Gilgal, Jericho and Bethel. This book mainly focuses on the third project, Bethel Health and Healing Network, its birthing and development. The story finishes with how the three projects have come to relate to each other and support one another: Gilgal to serve victims of domestic abuse; Jericho to help the long-term unemployed and victims of modern slavery; and Bethel to provide support and resourcing to isolated pregnant women and people in need of a listening ear. God at work in practical ways to give support and a new start to the most needy people in the city. This is the fourth book that Christine has published, others being: “I will lift up my eyes”(2002): New Generation Publishing; “The Desert will Rejoice: Volume I” (2004): New Generation Publishing; and “Three Generations Left” (2016); New Generation Publishing.
