PollyAnna Perkins lives in the small seaside town of Coatham Sands along with her mum and gramps. The only thing missing in Polly’s life is her dad who disappeared before she was born. Whilst seeking shelter from a storm on her way home from school, Polly is tempted into a funfair where she is persuaded to try out a virtual reality game and is sucked into a vortex. After being unceremoniously dumped onto the dark side of the moon, Polly meets a disgruntled young boy called Nunkie along with his cheeky agogwe companion, Pendek. They team up with Uncle Tibus and the Archivist to begin an epic adventure.
