A couple of months ago, we told the story of self-published Claire Buss, whose chance encounter with a ‘Pen to Print’ competition resulted in her first big opportunity as an author.
Having written a book in the space of just three months, Claire finished second in the competition thanks to a captivating novel that painted the picture of a dystopian future in which food, delivery of technology and the continuation of the human race was controlled by an entity known as ‘The Corporation’.
Exploring the far reaches of governmental intrusion and the never-ending will of people to break free of the control imposed on them, The Gaia Effect was an instant success, drawing a sizeable crowd during it’s launch in Claire’s local library and favourable reviews online.
We’re delighted to announce that the Gaia Effect has gone one step further by winning the coveted Raven Award for ‘favourite fantasy-scifi book’!
We’d like to take this opportunity to offer Claire hearty congratulations from the team at New Generation Publishing. We love to see our authors achieve recognition of this kind, and Claire’s hard work is proof that self-publishing is a viable route for anyone who possess a desire to become a successful author.
If you’d like to get your hands on a copy of The Gaia Effect, it can be purchased via Amazon.
